03/01/2004 8:27am - Haven't updated the news for a while, been lazy bum, sorry about that, but lets get into the news:

Did some modifications to my S60R.

My main computers motherboard and PSU fried, had to buy new MB, Abit's AN7. Also got 250GB/7200rpm/8MB cache drive for the comp.

Also went and bought new TV, got sick and tired of the old 27". Got Sony 46" Widescreen HDTV with a stand, 4y service contract and some monster cables (Friend works for bestbuy.com - Thanks Aaron!).

09/01/2003 10.25pm - Labor Day, no work, ROCKS! LEt's see been a month since I last updated this. 

Bought a 120gb disk from www.compusa.com, all $60 (after rebates), not bad.

Selling my VW at CarSoup.com. So if you need nice VW, send me a email :) Also seems like this might be the month when I get the new Volvo, finally - really can't wait much longer. Thanks to certain people in Belgium for some inside info abt. engine "Snow covers".

Tomorrow starts new yearly promise, not 100% sure of what yet, but I think 100K Pushups, 300K sit-ups and something new is going to be involved.  
07/30/2003 10.56pm - Long time now news, mainly been updating the forums. Got word from Volvo that the car is coming sometime late September. Also just got info about Audi S4 pricing, way too much: $52.715 with options + 6.5% tax + Financing. Looks like the All Season Tires might be Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S, $153/each. Brother went to Army, poor bastard! What else... been reading divorce info, Jesus Christ what a pain in the ass! More paperwork than Finnish Taxes.

Also bought 256MB SD card for Dell Axim PDA... the best MP3 Player ever.

03/18/2003 9.50pm - Gotta say I'm very happy with the new machine, running at 13x185FSB - 2405MHz for everyday use, 100% rock solid with "low" voltage of 1.775v. Most what I seem to get out of the machine without bigger modifications is 12.5x195FSB - 2438MHz and this is enough for me, maybe of these days when I get bored I try to do the VDD mod for the motherboard, but kinda risky. I already have the soldering kit thou (Radeon Mod is planned).

02/26/2003 12.52am - Wow... I have to say I love this machine. First evening up and running (without Radeon 9700), not even all the fans in. 2080MHz (160FSB, no multiplier/voltage tricks yet) and 31.5°C after running few tests, SLK-800 rules! So I ran few benchmarks:

UPDATE! Played little bit more with clocking and got machine up to 190MHz FSB - 2470MHz (didn't even touch multiplier yet), had to raise voltage thou: Core 1.825v, AGP 1.6v, VDimm 2.77v. Here's new PiFast benchmark table:

02/17/2002 4:56pm - First problem with Windows XP! IIS service suddenly died and the service won't start and when I try to start it manually I get:

"Could not start the World Wide Web Publishing service on Local Computer
Error 3: The system cannot find the path specified"

Event Viewer says the same thing plus: "The service metabase path '/LM/W3SVC/' could not be opened. The data is the error code. "

If someone has ideas, let me know

UPDATE! Removed IIS, it's directories and almost every IIS entry in registry I could find. Reinstalled IIS and it seems to work fine, just afraid to restart the machine since I suspect IIS will fail after restart

11/07/2001 12:06am - Been playing Gran Turismo 3 almost 100% of my free time, it really really rules. But well, yesterday I decided to start running again, every day at least 2 miles. Did it yesterday and today (even after Ju-Jutsu training). I'm almost impressed by myself :) Also I haven't slipped from "No-Drinking-On-Weekdays" promise yet. Next weekend I'm going to get tanked thou, Poorav's wife is gone to India for 2 months and Brian always drinks, we might start at 2pm on Saturday and see how far we can get...

Coming back from Duluth the average speed was about 90mph when I encountered traffic, in front this Riced Honda and I KNEW it would race if I gave him a chance. After the slow moving Mini-Van moved from his way he quickly accelerated to 100mph and I followed as close I could (couldn't blast since I would've been in his trunk soon), we both changed lane - speed still increasing. Of course it's cool that you exhaust makes cool sounds etc. but.... when your power runs out at 120mph and VW behind you turns on the turn signal to pass you... FRIED RICE!!!!!!!!!!! For some reason Honda wasn't interested of racing anymore after that... but got to give rice-guy some praise, he made drive from Duluth interesting. What was I doing in Duluth? Sailing with Dr. Tokos.
